Color card for frozen pitted cherries
USDA color card for frozen pitted cherries in accordance with the USDA STANDARD for grades of frozen red tart pitted cherries (1974) for conducting visual color tests of product quality.
- Color cards lacquered on plastic panel (vinyl)
- Clean using washing-up liquid and a soft cloth as required
- Size approx. 12,7 x 7,6 cm (5" x 3")
The color card illustrates the colored area of the red hues according to the USDA standard for frozen pitted cherries for US A, B and C grades. The colors of the products are given points during a visual check conducted by holding the color cards up to the products. The points awarded for the color constitute up to 30 % of the total score.
Up to 30 points are awarded in the color test: Grade A = 27 - 30 points, Grade B = 24 - 26 points, Grade C 21 - 23 points.
A positive product test score is comprised of the following factors:
- Attractive red color
- No surface defects
- Attractive round character
- Good taste
- A minimum of 70 points scored in the total test outcome (max. 100)
A detailed description (i.e. standard) of how to conduct the test correctly is available - please contact us if this is required.
